She will be joining a cast of horrifying characters from classic horror films. It's a perfect time for any fan to take a walk through the haunted houses and experience what it would have been like if they were there when these iconic scenes took place. This year, don't miss out on your chance to relive some of the most terrifying moments from your favorite movies as you explore this maze set up just for you. Be prepared though...it won't be easy!
The Bride of Frankenstein live show at Halloween Horror Nights is a must for any horror fan
Every year, Universal Studios goes above and beyond to give their guests Halloween Horror Nights like no other. This year they've taken on the Bride of Frankenstein with an immersive experience unlike anything you've seen before.
No one ever knew the reason why her creator abandoned his bride-to-be. Was it love? Was he running away from guilt? Or did she simply get too close after all?
Halloween Monster Horror Movie Dracula Frankenstein
As you stumble through her dark halls, you'll come face to face with her victims whose lives were cut short by her hands of steel… or at least that's what it looks like when she gets done sawing them apart.
But when she finally finds him in another room of this old castle, it turns out that perhaps he has other plans for her as well.
The Bride of Frankenstein has lived a long time, but she's never had it this real before!
The video comes to an end at the point where The Bride of Frankenstein is reawakened by her creator and he injects her with what appears to be the formula that will turn him into The Monster. It should be noted that although these are similar shots, they are not exactly alike. For example, in the actual video there is no audio from the actual Universal Studios' Bride of Frankenstein show itself. There also are some parts missing from the intro. All of this leads me to believe that whoever produced this fan-made video only used certain pieces, whether intentionally or unintentionally, it does not change the fact that it was produced either way. The idea is to craft a video that would be similar enough to the actual show itself for fans of Universal's Halloween Horror Nights to recognize, but make it different enough so as not to infringe upon any copyrights or trademarks held by Universal Studios.
This Grave Made For You, Frankenstein
It has become apparent after doing some digging around on this topic that The Bride Of Frankenstein's author, Mary Shelley, and her book, along with Universal Studios' live show featuring an almost identical plot line and scenes, have both had their parts in the inspiration behind what we now know as Halloween Horror Nights.
Mary Shelley wrote Frankenstein: or The Modern Prometheus and published it on February 11th 1818. Within just three months later on May 14th, Universal Studios' opened their first ever Halloween Horror Nights event. Now fast forward a couple decades to 1975, thirty years after Universal's first ever HHN and this is where things start to get a little more interesting.
Universal Studios had just released The Bride of Frankenstein which starred Elsa Lanchester as the bride herself and Boris Karloff as Doctor Frankenstein's monster. When the movie ended on May 10th it left audiences wanting more so they decided to put an ad in the newspaper saying "I survived The Bride of Frankenstein at Universal Studios Tour Tomorrowland Theater." This ad was published on May 11th which also happened to be opening day for Mary Shelley's 200th birthday so all those audience members from the night before were given free admission to Universal Studios' Halloween Horror Nights.
The inspiration behind this is widely debated among fans of Frankenstein, not only due to the release date but also because Mary Shelley's book has very little actual dialogue throughout it.
Halloween Horror Nights has become a staple for horror fans all over the world and is said to fill their autumn with even more thrills and chills than ever before.
For those who are attending this year's HHN at Universal Studios Florida, you'll now have two entirely new experiences that will leave your skin crawling long after you leave the event. The first being the masterpiece of Bill & Ted's Excellent Halloween Adventure which promises bigger laughs written by Tim Wardle, bigger created by creative director John Murdy, and even bigger brains.
The second experience is The Bride of Frankenstein which will be located on the backlot tour, just before you get to the famous Bates Motel set where you can see her butchering away at half-dead bodies for her very own monster's mate. Her creator has thought up many different ways for how she could eventually repopulate the world so she'll be hard at work creating his new family. But with every dead body she brings back, there are only questions left unanswered as to what this vampire bride might want with your blood!
If you haven't already gotten your tickets to Halloween Horror Nights, I would highly suggest getting them soon if you plan on attending any time after September 16th because that is the last day they are selling tickets for this year's event.
The Bride of Frankenstein lives at Halloween Horror Nights
Mary Shelley, author of the book Frankenstein that was published in 1818, and Universal Studios' live show featuring an almost identical plot line and scenes were both key inspirations behind what we now know as Halloween Horror Nights. Today I'll be talking to you about how Universal decided to do a live show titled The Bride of Frankenstein Lives set during Halloween Horror Nights 30 which is open from September through November 1st.
Universal brought back their creation called Bill and Ted's Excellent Halloween Adventure so they could finally bring it back in time with some issues that had taken place within the storylines in previous years. When it comes to Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, there aren't very many dialogue exchanges throughout the book. Universal has done a great job of capturing that same idea while also adding some fun for fans to look forward to when visiting Halloween Horror Nights this year.
Universal Studios' popular live show The Bride of Frankenstein Lives was set in between the events of The Wolfman and Van Helsing movies which both took place before she met her mate. Universal's team already had an entire creature shop built that could hold up to 1,500 gallons worth of blood so bringing on Bill Condon (the director behind Dreamgirls and Twilight: Breaking Dawn) seemed like the perfect choice for this particular project.
Bill & Ted's Excellent Halloween Adventure is based off of their hit film series that is all about two good-looking young men that keep on getting into the same messes and situations so they usually need to call in a little help from their time traveling telephone booth.
Universal Studios' Halloween Horror Nights has become a staple in many different countries and is said to fill autumn with even more thrills and chills than ever before. This year they brought back Bill & Ted's Excellent Halloween Adventure after an 11-year hiatus with huge laughs written by Tim Wardle, bigger created by creative director John Murdy, and even bigger brains. Universal also added an immersive experience unlike anything you've seen before! The Bride of Frankenstein Lives will be located at the end of the backlot tour right before you get to the famous Bates Motel set where you'll be able to see her butchering away at half-dead bodies for her very own monster's mate. Her creator has thought up many different ways for how she could eventually repopulate the world so she'll be hard at work creating his new family.
But with every dead body that she brings back, there are only questions left unanswered as to what this vampire bride might want with your blood! If you haven't already gotten your tickets yet, I would highly suggest getting them soon if you plan on attending any time after September 16th because that is the last day they are selling tickets for this year's event.
